Venus on 1961 October 7 at 12:00-12:10 EDT (16:00-16:10 UT) as sketched by George E. Wedge. 6" refractor at 150x. Seeing 1-4-5/10. Transparency 4/5. Dusky marking on eastern limb glimpsed only during periods of good seeing. Marking to the north appeared to be quite definite. Marking at the south seen only during moments of good seeing, as was the marking at centre of terminator.
