Astrophotographers wanting to make the most out of their images will have an great opportunity to get some pointers on Astroimaging from Jayanne English, an accomplished Professional Astronomer and Fine Artist who's collaboration with the Hubble Heritage Project team was instrumental in producing many of the stunning images that the Hubble Space Telescope is famous for. Jay Anderson, Editor of the The Journal will deliver a keynote address, and Ron Berard will provide workshops to help you build your own barn door tracker, then show you how to use it to shoot wide angle astrophotos. We'll also help attendees learn how to collimate their scopes. Workshop registration is limited, so sign up now! Spruce Woods Provincial Park is located 160 km west of Winnipeg and offers beautiful dark skies, free of any significant source of light pollution. Early registration fees are $15.00 individual, $25.00 family. On site registration fees are $25.00 individual, $35.00 family. For RASC members of any affiliation, registration fees include camping, a delicious barbecue dinner Sunday, and Monday’s pancake breakfast. There will be campfires and activities for members bringing family along, or camp at the beautiful Kiche Manitou campground, located within walking distance.


Not an RASC member? Members of the public are invited to take in a presentation and public observing event Saturday night.
