- Honorary President

- Chair and Vice Chair
- Elected from National Council members by Council
- Recorder (elected by the Council)
- Appointed Officers
- Observer's Handbook Editor (5-year term)
- Journal Editor (5-year term)
- Observer's Calendar Editor (5-year term)
- Permanent Committee Chairs
There are 14 Permanent Committees and their chairs are entitled to a seat on the Council and to vote.- Astroimaging

National Council Representatives
All Centres are entitled to at least one Council Representative. Where the Centre has more than 200 members, they receive an additional voting representative for each 200 or part thereof (National members are also represented according to the same formula).
As of 2018, the following Centres have more than one Rep: Calgary (3), Edmonton (2), Ottawa (2), Toronto (5), Vancouver (2), Victoria (2), Winnipeg(2) and Members at Large (3) for a total of 42 representatives.
