Kim Venn (b. 1965) is a Canadian astronomer at the Department of Physics and Astronomy of the University of Victoria. She is internationally recognized for her pioneering contributions in observational stellar spectroscopy and for ground-based astronomical instrumentation and surveys.

Asteroid (549676) Thanjavur

Karun G. Thanjavur (b. 1957) is a Canadian astronomer and engineer at the Department of Physics and Astronomy of the University of Victoria. He is a former Resident Astronomer at the Canada-France-Hawaii telescope. Karun's areas of expertise include marine engineering, robotics and instrumentation, as well as observational cosmology.

Asteroid (161661) Bobbyclarke

Robert Earle "Bobby" Clarke (b. 1949) is a Canadian-born hockey player who played 15 years in the NHL with the Philadelphia Flyers. As captain and the heart of the Flyers during their "Broad Street Bullies" years, he helped bring Stanley Cup championships to Philadelphia in 1974 and 1975. He won the Hart Trophy three times and is in the Hockey Hall of Fame.

Asteroid (670744) Karsh

Photographers Yousuf Karsh (1908–2002) and Malak Karsh (1915–2001) were brothers of Armenian heritage, who found refuge in Canada at ages 15 and 22 respectively. Yousuf apprenticed with his uncle, George Nakash. A 1941 photograph of Winston Churchill established Yousuf as the greatest portraitist of the 20th century, while Malak is renowned for his landscapes.

Michael da Silva Coates (1942-2014) was a college friend of the discoverer. After graduating from St Andrews University in Scotland, he worked as a Clinical Psychologist helping countless children deal with the trauma of broken homes and abusive upbringing. He loved music and had a successful hobby recording choirs and orchestras in Canada and Shetland.

Asteroid (209206) Richardhenry

Richard Conn Henry (b. 1940) is an American Academy Professor at the Johns Hopkins University specializing in far ultra-violet observations. He directs NASA's Maryland Space Grant Consortium and is a former Deputy Director of NASA's Astrophysics Division. He works with the New Horizons Science Team to use the spacecraft for astrophysical investigations.
